Hey Eleanor - good :) The only thing I'd throw into the mix here is some indication of what the 'monster clips' that feature in the interactive book might actually shake-down like - so some 'mini-animatics' that can describe a) the extent of the animation b) the format of those animations - so are they like 'idling loops' similar to playable characters in games that sort of perform their monstrousness/attack move or is it something more/less; if they're like mini-moments with music, foley and 'special effects' (lightening/mist/water etc) then I think you need to drill into those expectations on this side of Christmas and find a way to visualise them for everyone else - does that make sense?
ReplyDeleteHi Phil
DeleteI think I'd want to go more with idle animations, that show the creatures movement, with some sound effects (growls, roars, etc.). Should I edit this into the schedule?
Hey Eleanor - this is an example of 'creature modelling' at a suitably pro-level - as produced by one of our students a few years back. This is the ballpark in terms of quality in terms of 'creature' stuff :)
