The Rolling Calf is a spirit in Jamaican folklore. They are believed to be the spirits of people (often butchers) who were wicked in their lifetime. The Rolling Calf always has the form of a bull, and is wrapped in chains that can be heard when they are nearby. They block the way of travelers (mostly at night), and chase them with the intention to cause harm.
